July 5th: Women, Creativity, and Change: From the Stone Age to the New Age

We'll explore the influence that women’s creativity has had on the big evolutionary leap in human society.

We’ll consider ancient matrilineal and goddess-centered cooperative cultures and discuss what they may have to teach us about our past and our possible future. 

To better understand the history and archeology of the Neolithic, I will share a brief gloss of the work of Marija Gimbutas and Carol P. Christ, both internationally recognized scholars in the study of ancient Old European cultures. Finally, we’ll discuss that we are living into a new myth that being created right now. We will explore if can we participate in its creation and whether our creativity, as women, may lead humanity to our next big leap.
