About the Event

In this Zoom gathering, we will focus on what ancient myths, fairytales, and folktales can tell us about what happens to a culture when it ignores the intuition, prophesies, and power of its women. We will discuss the necessity of women's leadership to create a better world.

Why did the Trojan’s ignore Cassandra? Why did Apollo take over the temple at Delphi? Why, in folk tales, is Truth a woman and Falsehood a man?  Is women's anger at the state of the world justified? Are Alicia, Patrisse, Opal, Hillary, Marie, and Fiona modern-day prophetesses?
