About the Event
Spinning Dreams into Reality: Re-weaving Your World at Midlife
If you purchase a ticket from this page, you will be purchasing access to a VIDEO of the lecture from the gathering, available the day after the live Zoom meeting. A link will be emailed to you on the 26th of February.
This gathering will feature an exploration of the goddess Athena, The Three Fates, and Penelope, whose weaving and unweaving strengthened her sovereignty through years of turmoil.
Though Athena is a goddess of war, she is also a goddess of wisdom and hand-crafts that include spinning and weaving.
In Greek myth, even the mighty Zeus had to bow to the power of The Three Fates, named the Moirai. These three women spun, measured the length, and cut the thread of each life.
Penelope was left behind, as a single mother, to rule Ithaca when Odysseus left for the Trojan War.…
