About the Event
Celebrating the Great Goddess on Earth Day!
This month in the Village, we’re going to be celebrating The Great Goddess. What day could be better for that than Earth Day!
Mother nature has been talking to us this year as we try to subdue a pandemic and address systemic injustice, cultural imbalance, and climate change. The warming atmosphere is transforming our planet's weather and ecosystems while threatening one million species with extinction. Naturalists, eco psychologists, scientists, artists, and world leaders call us all to be better stewards of our miraculous Blue Planet.
Nature has always been associated with the feminine. Mother Earth and Mother Nature are accepted idioms that link the natural world and women to the natural rhythms of birth, growth, death, and rebirth. The Great Goddess is the universal archetype behind all the goddesses. She is the primordial unity of the cosmos. She is the generator of the energy behind the spark of all beginnings and all creation's birth.
As the progenitor meta-mother and the archetype of the original Creatress, she is the Great Goddess-of-all. For ancient people and cultures, she was represented as a circle, or a sphere, or the Uroboros—the snake or dragon that eats its own tail.
When we see pictures from the Hubble telescope or images of the earth from space, we can see how beautiful and spectacular the cosmos and our planet are. Let's celebrate the beauty of the Earth and the seasons together! From the infinite expanse of the Great Goddess to the Great Mother, from Gaia and all the goddesses to the depths of the sacred feminine in our psyche, let's honor the power of life and its cycles that live within us.
Come and join me to celebrate Earth Day!

The 2021 Village is here! This year each monthly gathering will explore a different goddess from world mythology. Together we’ll discover how these ancient mythologies offer new perspectives on issues that concern Regent women today. As Regent Women—aged 45-70— we’re living in the most powerful stage of our lives. In these gatherings, the company of women, we support each other and offer insights into making the most of our Regent years.
What can we learn from the time we are living through? Where is our power, and how should we wield it? Join me to explore the ancient hopeful truths and power that live within the myths of the universal experience of being a woman.
Dr. A. is a cultural mythologist and women's coach. Join her in weekly inspirational conversations held online about the big picture of being a woman in these times.
In each conversation, as women have done for millennia, we will gather at the well (ours will be virtual) to support each other and to find wisdom, insight, and clarity in uncertain times.
Enter the circle and:
- Experience new ways of understanding what we are going through today, from the wisdom in ancient myths and stories.
- Explore the legacy of wisdom from the profound universal experiences of being women.
- Broaden and deepen our thinking about our outer and inner worlds.
- Create a deeper connection to ourselves and each other.
These weeks of social distancing and unrest can create more than stress and worry. We can emerge from this uncertain time with a story to tell about ourselves and our world. We can create a new vision for our lives, families, communities, and world.
The Women's Wisdom Village meets on Zoom once a month. Each gathering will last approximately 1 1/2 hours and welcomes up to 20 women. We will send you the Zoom meeting code via email after your payment is received. The fee is $5.15 per meeting, the cost of my favorite cuppa'.
