About the Event

The Women's Wisdom Village is Proud to Present—

The Celtic Wheel of the Year: A Celebration of Samhain

With special guest, Holistic Therapist and Glastonbury Priestess, Sue Bayliss.

Saturday, November 4th, 11:00 a.m. US  & 6:00 p.m. UK (UK HAD A TIME CHANGE NOTE NEW START TIME IN UK ONLY!!!!)

From Neolithic times humans honored the solar cycles of the Summer and Winter Solstices and the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes as agricultural and spiritual markers. To the later Celts, the cross-quarter festivals of Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasa, and Samhain were of particular importance. As well as reminders to reap and sow, these were times of spirit migrations when the veils thinned. To our ancestors, the divine was manifest in nature and the whole earth was sacred. For many of us today it is important to gain spiritual nourishment from celebrating these festivals and renewing our connection with Mother Earth and her cycles. The summer is ending and we are called to turn inward and honor those who went before us.

Join us and celebrate the festival of Samhain!

Samhain is a time of renewal when life retreats within the earth, within doors, and within the psyche to find completion and contemplation.

Learn about the meaning of this Celtic festival and experience a guided meditative journey to meet your ancestors and ask them for guidance and wisdom.

Samhain is a time to cherish and remember our dead, not to mourn their loss. It's a time to embrace and call upon their spirits, to ask for wisdom and help to guide us here on earth. Have a candle in a saucer or bowl, pen and paper, and wear comfortable clothing. You might like to include a blanket to stay warm during the meditation.
