About the Event

We all have a Dragon living inside us.

The archetype of the dragon can set us free and take us where we want to go, or imprison us.

On October 25th in the Women’s Wisdom Village, we will explore the Western tradition of the Dragon. Is your Dragon holding you back and restricting you? Is your Dragon your ally?

There are personal Dragons and cultural ones. They steal, maraud, destroy, hoard, imprison, and sometimes they protect and instruct us.

The Dragon is the ruler of the four realms, Water, Air, Earth, and Fire. As comfortable in the water as they are on land, they are all-powerful in the air, and they are creators of fire. The Dragon travels in the underworld of deep waters, caves, and dark places, and leaves the earth behind, soaring through the heavens.

They move freely as a symbol and as power, back and forth, from the collective unconscious to the personal unconscious. They appear in dreams, sometimes in disguise. The Dragon is often discovered as the jailor of our inner self, restricting us within the confines of our ego, holding prisoner our personal power and ability to achieve fulfillment, balance, and harmony.

If we can identify and understand our personal Dragons, we can learn to ride them. We can choose where to fly, where to focus our energy, thoughts, and psyche. We can learn to navigate the waves, currents, and updrafts of the collective unconscious. As we go through the next few weeks and months of high cultural tension and anxiety, you may be well served by getting to know your dragon.

What can we learn from the time we are living through? Where is our power, and how should we wield it? Join me to explore the ancient hopeful truths and power that lives within the myths of the universal experience of being a woman.

Dr. A. is a cultural mythologist and women's coach. Join her in weekly inspirational conversations, held online, about the big picture of being a woman in these times.

In each conversation, as women have done for millennia, we will gather at the well (ours will be virtual) to support each other and to find wisdom, insight, and clarity in uncertain times.

Enter the circle and:

  • Experience new ways of understanding what we are going through today, from the wisdom in ancient myths and stories.
  • Explore the legacy of wisdom from the profound universal experiences of being women.
  • Broaden and deepen our thinking about our outer and inner worlds.
  • Create a deeper connection to ourselves and to each other.

These weeks of social distancing and unrest can create more than stress and worry. We can emerge from this uncertain time with a story to tell about ourselves and our world. We can create a new vision for our lives, our families, our communities, and our world.

The Women's Wisdom Village meets on Zoom. Each gathering will last approximately 1 1/2 hours and welcomes up to 20 women.  Zoom meeting code will be delivered via email after your payment is received. The fee is $5.15 per meeting, the cost of my favorite cuppa'. Buy me a cuppa' joe and join me in the Women's Wisdom Village!

Some scholarships are available. Email Dr. A at info@drandreaslominski.com for more information, and to apply.

Please note, there are no refunds offered for the Women's Wisdom Village events if you miss the Zoom gathering.
